Poor infrastructure, increased economic pressure and a bottleneck of specialist rheumatologists were leading to waiting times of up to six months for rheumatism patients and, in many cases, provoking false diagnoses from less-specialized general practitioners. We worked with our client to rethink assumptions, dissect and rebuild concepts, facilitated the involvement of real customers, which led to the development on our project of 6 prototypes for improved rheumatism patient care. Post-project, we helped our client establish and institutionalize the new “Expert Network on the Future of Rheumatism”.
